The design patent of the Arrizo 8 hints at a possible debut of the Chery brand in the next few months. Earlier, the brand had homologated its popular Tiggo 8 and other models in India, and now the Arrizo 8 sedan has been patented.

Speaking of this particular car, the Arrizo 8 is renowned in the Chinese car market for its sleek design, spacious cabin, and smooth driving experience. It is powered by a 1.5-litre, plug-in hybrid engine that offers a pure electric range of up to 105 km, while churning out 315 bhp and 515 Nm.

Meanwhile, the company also offers it with a pure petrol 1.6-litre TGDI engine that offers 200 bhp and 290 Nm, while paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. It can also sprint 0-100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds.

At 4.7 metres, it is a fairly long sedan and falls in the Toyota Camry’s category. It has a long wheelbase of 2.7 metres, allowing easy access for five passengers. The rear seat space and comfort are where this car excels.

Chinese cars are always full of modern features, and the Arrizo 8 is no different either. It gets premium dual-tone leather interiors with advanced features such as a 540-degree camera, wireless charging, tri-zone climate control, and more.

Speaking of Chery’s debut in India, we suspect that the brand is currently setting its base by securing the nameplates of its products. However, considering how fast Chinese carmakers are turning towards the Indian market, it is possible that Chery might debut next year in India.
