Fourth-gen Nissan Elgrand: What do we know so far?
The new Elgrand MPV features a significant upgrade in terms of design and interiors. On the outside, it gets a new fascia with a big, illuminated, and closed grille design. This is further complemented by the connected LED lightbar and LED headlights.
The side profile of the Elgrand features a proper MPV look with a sliding door mechanism for the second and third row passengers. Additionally, it gets the new, aerodynamic alloy wheels with black chequered finish, giving its dual-tone exteriors a unique outlook.
The rear profile of the Elgrand MPV is dominated by a sharp, connected LED light setup and a big tailgate with a roof-mounted spoiler.
The cabin has been upgraded with the new design, a new dashboard, new captain seats with features like a 14.3-inch dual connected screen console, ambient lights, electric seats with ventilation and massage functions, a 22-speaker BOSE sound system, and Nissan PilotPro 2 or ADAS Level 2 that offers hands-free operations below 50 km/h.
Powering the new Elgrand is a 1.5-litre petrol engine that is mated to a hybrid powertrain. It is the first Nissan car to feature the new e-4orce 4WD technology – a feature that the upcoming Nissan models are likely to get as well.
As of now, the brand has not announced the exact launch timeline for the new-gen Elgrand. We suspect it will initially launch in Japan, and later this will be followed by the other global markets.
