Hero MotoCorp has turned up the voltage on its electric game with the launch of the new VIDA Evooter VX2 Go 3.4 kWh, expanding its fast-growing VX2 line-up. Unveiled by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi, the new variant strengthens VIDA’s “Ghar Ghar Evooter” vision.
Battery and powertrain
The VX2 Go 3.4 kWh builds on the strong foundation of the VX2 range, which has already become popular for its reliability and simplicity. This version packs a dual-removable battery system with a real-world range of up to 100 km per charge, a peak power output of 6 kW, and 26 Nm of torque. It’s quick enough for city use with a top speed of 70 km/h, while the Eco and Ride modes give riders control over efficiency and performance.
Design
The design remains familiar yet thoughtful, flat floorboard, large seat, and 27.2-litre under-seat storage make it practical for families, while the suspension has been tuned specifically for Indian road conditions. It’s the kind of scooter that doesn’t just get you from A to B but does it with minimal fuss and zero tailpipe guilt.
Smart ownership, smarter ecosystem
What makes the VIDA VX2 Go even more approachable is Hero’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model. Instead of buying the battery outright, customers can subscribe to it, bringing down the upfront cost while getting flexible charging and maintenance options. The scooter costs INR 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), with the battery subscription starting at INR 60,000, or INR 0.90 per km if you go pay-per-use.
VIDA’s growing network of 4,600+ charging points and 700+ service touchpoints across India means users won’t be stuck hunting for plugs or support. The company’s focus on a connected, service-ready ecosystem makes electric mobility less intimidating for first-time EV buyers.
With this launch, the VIDA Evooter VX2 range now includes the VX2 Go 2.2 kWh, VX2 Go 3.4 kWh, and VX2 Plus offering something for everyone, from daily commuters to riders chasing a bit more performance and range.
