What to expect from the mid-spec Tata Sierra?
A new teaser of the Sierra has raised the eyebrows of auto enthusiasts with its significant changes. The dual-tone, leather-draped interior teaser shows a new dual-screen connected setup, which is completely different from the triple screens shown at the unveiling.
We suspect that it is either a mid-spec variant or the Sierra will have the triple screen layout as an option on the top-spec variants. Whatever it is, the dual-screens look completely new with an interesting and clean UI.
Moreover, the speedometer console has a conventional hooded design, which we see on the other models like the Harrier and the Safari. Additionally, the teaser images show a HUD, a feature that the triple-screen variant did not have at the unveiling.
Speaking of the rest of the details, the teaser shows the same cabin layout and theme as the car displayed at the unveiling. The Sierra will be a five-seater car, and it will offer a spacious cabin with a bench-type rear seat.
Sierra is expected to be positioned alongside the Harrier, while its base petrol variants will likely undercut the Harrier’s pricing to attract Hyundai Creta buyers. Meanwhile, it is expected to be offered with a new 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine on the base variants, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol option for the top variants, and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine taken from the Curvv.
As far as the pricing is concerned, we are expecting the base variants to be aggressively positioned, as low as Rs 11-12 lakh starting price. Meanwhile, the top-spec automatic turbo petrol version with the triple screen setup could cost around Rs 20-22 lakh.
The new Sierra will be launched on November 15, 2025.
