Mahindra XEV 9S interior teased: five screens expected

Key highlights

  • Mahindra teases five displays in the XEV 9S cabin, three at the front and two for the rear seats.
  • The SUV’s dashboard and cabin layout appears closely related to the XEV 9e, but now scaled for a 7-seat format.
  • Teasers hint at a sliding second row, Harman/Kardon audio, ambient lighting, and rear device holders.

Mahindra’s upcoming 7-seater electric SUV, the XEV 9S, now looks set to sport five screens inside the cabin. The latest teaser create clearly shows all five screens in action.

Five screens: what Mahindra is showing us

The teaser video reveals a triple-screen setup across the front, a wide digital cluster for the driver, a central touchscreen, and a dedicated passenger display. The design seems to follow the same layout as the XEV 9e, but here it’s stretched and adapted for a larger, three-row SUV.

In addition, two rear-facing screens appear mounted behind the front seats, giving second-row passengers their own display. These seem designed to support BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) setups, possibly by holding customer tablets securely. With all five displays, the XEV 9S promises a high level of in-car entertainment and connectivity for everyone in the vehicle.

Comfort, layout, and build

Mahindra’s previous teaser also confirms a sliding second row, making access to the third row easier and potentially increasing legroom for rear occupants. The middle-row seats look like they could recline, adding to comfort, especially on longer trips.

The steering wheel is a minimalist two-spoke design with an illuminated Mahindra logo. The cabin’s surfaces appear well finished, with contrast upholstery and subtle stitching. Ambient lighting runs through the cabin, and a panoramic sunroof filters natural light in, setting a relaxed and modern mood.

Features and luxury touches

Mahindra is pushing for a premium feel. The teaser suggests a Harman/Kardon sound system, likely delivering immersive audio. The interior also features physical controls for essentials like media and climate, which may help balance tech usability with convenience.

Storage doesn’t take a backseat either. Multiple pockets, cupholders, and device slots make the cabin feel practical, not just pretty. USB charging ports are visible, and rear passengers should benefit from easy access to cabin power.

Platform and launch context

The XEV 9S sits on Mahindra’s INGLO modular lightweight skateboard platform, the same base used for the 9e and BE 6. That gives it a scalable architecture to support both the cabin size and the three-row layout.

Mahindra has confirmed the global debut of the 9S on 27 November 2025, making these leaks especially timely.
