Mahindra Scorpio N pickup truck – What to expect?
The Socrpio N pickup truck test mule was again spied in Maharashtra recently during a night drive test run. The completely camouflaged test vehicle looks bigger than the pictures suggest, as it features the same platform as the Scorpio N SUV.
Mahindra had earlier showcased the concept version of it in 2023, and the production-spec model is likely to be similar to the concept version. The test mule seen had big wheel arches and an upright stance with a four-door cabin, suggesting good space for the rear passengers.
Interestingly, the test mule was loaded with modern features like a moonroof, dual-tone leather, and a new digital instrument console. Moreover, the source reported that it was using the next-gen m-Hawk turbo diesel engine paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Mahindra had earlier revealed that the Gen-2 m-Hawk engine is currently under development, and the upcoming pickup truck is likely to feature it. As far as its launch time is concerned, Mahindra might debut it in 2027. For now, the upcoming launch from the brand is the XUV 7XO, which will be revealed this week.
