JSW Motors first car will be a PHEV SUV
JSW Group is all set to step into the throat-cutting passenger vehicle segment of India. The brand has announced that it will introduce its first-ever vehicle for the Indian market in June 2026. This car will be a plug-in hybrid SUV, which will be positioned around Rs 45 lakh, competing with the premium brands like the BMW and Mercedes, and also catering for buyers of mass segment cars like the Toyota Fortuner.
JSW Group is known for its widespread network throughout a variety of segments, including steel, power, energy, and more. The brand acquired a stake in MG Motors in 2023, thus handling the operations of the SAIC China-owned moniker. Therefore, there is a certain expertise that the JSW Group has acheived to launch its own brand called JSW Motors.
While the exact details of this PHEV SUV are unknown at the time, JSW has announced that it is in talks with big technological giants to develop the future tech and features for its upcoming cars.
