2026 Tata Punch facelift scores 5-star BNCAP crash test rating

2026 Tata Punch facelift

The Punch mini-SUV has always been a safe vehicle ever since its launch. However, its newly launched facelift has been tested by Bharat NCAP agency, and it has scored a full 5-star rating.

Speaking of the details, the Punch facelift scored 30.58/32 points in adult occupant safety, while it managed to get 45/49 points in child occupant safety. Interestingly, the Pure+ CNG and Accomplished CNG variants were tested by BNCAP, thus clarifying the safety quotient of the CNG powertrain as well.

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, it scored 14.71/16 points, while it managed 15.87/16 points in the side movable barrier test. The Punch facelift offered ‘good’ protection to the driver’s head, neck, chest, and pelvis in the frontal offset barrier test, while the feet achieved ‘adequate’ protection. A similar result was recorded for the passengers.

The dynamic score of the Punch facelift was 24/24 points, while it received 9/13 in the vehicle assessment. Meanwhile, the CRS installation score was a full 12/12 points.

The all-new Punch facelift now comes with new safety features, which include the six airbags, a 360-degree camera on the top trims, hill-hold start, hill-descent control, and more.
