What to expect from the 2026 Tata Punch EV facelift?
The latest images of an uncovered Punch EV facelift test car have completely unveiled the exterior design. Spotted in a red and black dual-tone exterior colour, the upcoming Punch EV features subtle changes to its design that make it look more upmarket and less cluttered than before.
The front fascia now feature a more elegant design with the sharp LED DRLs and new vertically-positioned headlamps. The black highlight on the nose and the connected LED lightbar have been removed for the good. Meanwhile, the redesigned bumper features a protruding shape with dark silver accents and redesigned aero dams for improved efficiency.
The side profile of the car looks more or less the same, save for the new alloy wheels and the redesigned mirrors with a 360-degree camera. There is a roof rail as well, which we think is not going to be functional.
The rear shape is now identical to the Punch ICE facelift, as it gets the new connected LED lights with black surrounds, a new bumper with a large silver skid plate, and a roof-mounted spoiler design. With these changes, the overall design of the Punch EV looks more mature and premium.
On the inside, we believe that it will offer a bigger infotainment console, a redesigned digital driver console, and more features like ambient lights, wireless charging, ventilated seats, etc.
Powertrains are likely to be unaltered as it is just a mid-life update. The current 25kWh and 35kWh with 265km and 365km range, respectively, are going to be offered as it is. On the safety front, the ADAS features are likely to expand with more features and alert system.
The Punch EV facelift is going to launch on February 20. It will be positioned above the current model, which is priced at Rs 9.99-14.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
