River Mobility has partnered with Flipkart to bring its Indie electric scooter to the e-commerce platform, giving customers another way to explore and book the scooter online. The partnership kicks off with Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale and follows River’s expansion of its physical retail network.
The move effectively gives River an omnichannel sales model, where customers can discover the product and initiate the booking process online while continuing to access River’s physical dealerships and service network. Flipkart’s 2026 Big Billion Days sale began with early access on October 8, ahead of general access on October 9.
Indie combines utility with performance
The River Indie continues with its utility-focused approach. It uses a 4kWh battery pack with a claimed 163 km IDC range and has a top speed of 90kmph.
One of its key practical features remains its 55 litres of total storage capacity. River has also introduced updates including hill-hold control, a redesigned and lighter chassis, and 177 mm of ground clearance.
The scooter also gets an updated 6-inch display with improved smartphone app integration. Riders can access information such as real-time charging status and ride statistics through the connected ecosystem.
River expands its retail footprint
The Indie is currently available across 48 cities through 72 stores, while the company says its broader footprint is present across more than 80 cities and continues to expand. As River enters new markets and opens stores, the Indie will also be introduced on Flipkart in those markets.
Customers can access product information through River’s brand store on Flipkart and continue to rely on River’s physical network for ownership and service support.
