VinFast sweetens the EV deal with extra discounts for ICE car owners

Key highlights

  • VinFast introduces additional discounts for customers exchanging petrol or diesel cars
  • The offer aims to accelerate the shift from ICE vehicles to electric mobility
  • Benefits apply across VinFast’s EV lineup, including models like the VinFast VF 6 and VinFast VF 7

VinFast has announced a new incentive aimed directly at petrol and diesel car owners. The EV brand is now offering additional exchange discounts for customers who trade in their ICE vehicles while purchasing a VinFast electric SUV.

The move is simple and smart. If you bring in an internal combustion car, VinFast gives you extra savings on your new EV. The idea is to make the jump to electric mobility a little easier on the wallet.

And in a market where EV adoption still needs a push, incentives like this can make a real difference.

Encouraging the shift to electric

VinFast wants more buyers to leave traditional fuel cars behind. The exchange bonus is designed to make that transition smoother.

Customers who trade in petrol or diesel cars will receive additional financial benefits over standard offers. The final discount will depend on the model and the exchange vehicle.

The brand hopes this program will remove one of the biggest hurdles for EV adoption. Many buyers hesitate because they already own a functioning ICE car. By offering an exchange bonus, VinFast essentially tells customers that their old car still has value in the electric future.

A push for VinFast’s upcoming EV lineup

The offer will likely apply to VinFast’s upcoming electric SUVs for India. These include models such as the VinFast VF 6 and the VinFast VF 7. As per the policy customers exchanging their ICE vehicles will get a flat 3% discount. Effectively the amount could be between INR 50,000 to INR 75,000 depending on the mode and variant.

Both vehicles sit in popular SUV segments and aim to attract urban buyers looking for modern electric alternatives.

The VF 6 targets the compact SUV category. The VF 7 sits slightly higher with more space and stronger performance.

VinFast has positioned these SUVs as stylish, tech loaded EVs designed for younger buyers and urban families.
