- Yamaha Motor India updates Fascino with a redesigned rear and sharper styling
- Continues with 125cc hybrid engine and improved urban usability
- Prices start at Rs 76,500, crosses 1.5 million production milestone
Yamaha Motor India has launched the updated Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid in India, bringing a fresh design update to one of its most style-focused scooters. Prices start at Rs 76,500, and the scooter continues to target urban buyers who want a mix of fashion and function.
A sharper, more youthful design
The biggest change lies at the rear. Yamaha has redesigned the tail section to make the scooter look more compact and modern. The new taillights and flashers add a cleaner and more premium finish.
The overall silhouette now feels tighter. It looks lighter on its feet, even when parked. Yamaha says this also improves manoeuvrability in city traffic, which is where this scooter will spend most of its life.
New decals and colour options further enhance the appeal. The design team in India has clearly taken customer feedback seriously this time.
Still hybrid, still efficient
Mechanically, the Fascino stays familiar. It continues with the 125cc Blue Core hybrid engine. This setup uses Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator system along with features like silent start and stop-start functionality.
The hybrid assist kicks in during initial acceleration, while climbing inclines, and when carrying extra load. In real-world terms, that means smoother take-offs and slightly better efficiency. The engine remains fuel-injected and E20 compatible, which keeps it future-ready as fuel norms evolve.
Features
Yamaha has kept the feature list practical. The Fascino gets telescopic front suspension, side stand engine cut-off, and 21 litres of underseat storage. The higher-end Fascino S variant stands out with a colour TFT instrument cluster. It supports turn-by-turn navigation and the answer back feature, which helps you locate your scooter in a crowded parking lot. Simple, but useful.
Variants and pricing
The Fascino range is spread across three trims. The base drum variant starts at Rs 76,500. The disc variant is priced at Rs 88,000. The top-spec Fascino S goes up to Rs 95,200. This wide spread keeps it accessible while still offering premium features for those willing to stretch.
New milestone
Yamaha also used this launch to celebrate a milestone. The Fascino has crossed 1.5 million units in production since its debut. This shows the scooter has found a consistent audience over the years, especially in markets like Goa. From a 110cc fashion scooter in 2015 to a hybrid 125cc machine today, it has evolved without losing its core identity.
