Honda City facelift and ZR-V Hybrid SUV India launch on May 22

While Honda is facing an international downfall as the brand withdrew from the South Korean market last week, the Indian wing of the brand is not giving up yet. The brand will introduce a mid-life facelift of the City sedan and a new SUV.

What to expect from the Honda City facelift?

The City facelifted sedan will be the second update of this generation model in India. The upcoming model will be introduced on May 22, and it is likely to be priced higher than the current model.

Speaking of the expected updates, it will feature minor cosmetic updates, including the new front bumper, a revised grille, new DRLs, new alloy wheels, and possibly a new rear bumper. On the inside, it is expected to receive a new infotainment screen, a new interior theme, and new features like wireless charging, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, and more.

The facelift City is likely to remain unaltered in terms of hardware and the engine. The 1.5-litre i-Vtec petrol engine will continue to be offered as it is. It is paired with a manual and a CVT automatic transmission.

What to expect from the Honda ZR-V Hybrid?

Interestingly, Honda will also launch the ZR-V Hybrid SUV in India. It is a mid-size crossover that will be positioned against the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tiguan. It will be launched as a CBU model, and hence it is likely to be priced around Rs 40-45 lakh.

The ZR-V Hybrid SUV measures 4.5 metres in length. It is a comfortable 5-seater urban SUV that boasts an elegant exterior design with rounded proportions. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder strong hybrid engine that offers 180 bhp, and it is a FWD car that comes with an e-CVT transmission.

It packs features like a digital instrument console, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, ambient lighting, ADAS safety suite, electric front seats with ventilation, and more.
