What to expect from the Royal Enfield Classic 350 E85?

The latest sighting of a Classic 350 test mule with an E85 sticker on the fuel tank has raised everyone’s eyebrows. While the company has not revealed any plans of going the flex fuel way, the latest test mule hints otherwise.

Speaking of the details, the bike looks almost untouched in terms of design and hardware. Only the fuel system seems to have been redesigned to make it compatible with the E85 flex fuel. This comes after the Indian government’s recent push for using more ethanol to lower the emission levels.

The 350cc J-series platform seems to be the correct choice to test the E85 compatibility. It is because the J-platform models like the Classic 350 and Bullet 350 bring a large sales volume to the company. Hence, moving forward, the flex fuel way would be more beneficial with the J-platform models.

Royal Enfield has also launched its first electric bike recently, the Flying Flea C6. Thus, it solidifies that the brand is focused towards reducing dependency on fossil fuels.
