What to expect from the upcoming two new Hyundai SUVs?
During the latest investor call, Hyundai announced that it is working on two new SUVs for the Indian market. These will be mass-segment SUVs, and the brand aims to pull strong volumes from them.
While the details are scarce at the moment, one of these SUVs will be positioned alongside the Creta. It is suspected to be a crossover that will be based on the Hyundai Bayon. The latter is a popular crossover in the global market, known for its spacious cabin and comfortable ride quality. This SUV (codenamed Bc4i) will be 4.18 meters long, placing it below the Creta.
Meanwhile, the second SUV will be a compact electric model that is planned to be positioned against the Nexon EV and other rivals. This electric SUV will be localised, and it will form the base of the localised EVs for Hyundai in India. It is codenamed HE1i, and it will be based on the E-GMP (K) platform. It will be offered in standard range and long-range variants.
