Royal Enfield Bullet 650 launched in India at Rs 3.64 lakh

Key highlights

  • Royal Enfield Bullet 650 launched at Rs 3.64 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • Available in Cannon Black and Battleship Blue colours
  • Powered by Royal Enfield’s familiar 650cc parallel-twin engine
  • Bookings and retail sales begin immediately across India

Royal Enfield has officially launched the much-awaited Royal Enfield Bullet 650 in India at Rs 3,64,856 (ex-showroom), bringing its oldest and arguably most iconic motorcycle nameplate to the brand’s popular twin-cylinder platform. This probably is the most emotionally significant motorcycle the company has launched in years.

The Bullet has been around since 1932 and remains the world’s longest-running motorcycle nameplate still in continuous production. Now, after decades of thumping singles, it has finally entered the twin-cylinder era.

Classic Bullet DNA remains intact

Despite moving to a larger platform, Royal Enfield has clearly tried to preserve what makes a Bullet instantly recognisable.

The motorcycle retains:

  • Signature teardrop fuel tank
  • Hand-painted pinstripes
  • Upright riding posture
  • Long bench seat
  • Traditional casquette headlamp
  • Iconic twin pilot lamps
  • Chrome peashooter exhausts

Even visually, this looks more like a proper Bullet than simply a rebodied 650 twin.

Features stay simple, but modern enough

The Bullet 650 stays true to its old-school roots but adds enough modern touches.

Features include:

  • LED headlamp
  • Semi-digital instrument cluster
  • Gear position indicator
  • Service reminders
  • Fuel gauge
  • Adjustable levers
  • Premium aluminium switchgear

The instrument console especially feels like a nice balance between classic charm and modern usability.

The new Bullet 650 will be offered in two colours:

  • Cannon Black
  • Battleship Blue

Retail sales have already begun across authorised dealerships in India.
