Key highlights
- All JSW-MG cars will become expensive soon
- New price hike to be implemented from July 1, 2026
- A maximum price hike of 3 per cent is expected
JSW-MG India has announced yet another price correction for its entire model range. This happens to be the second biggest price correction, after the brand revised the prices earlier this year.
While MG is not alone in increasing the prices, major car manufacturers like Hyundai have already announced a price hike from July 2026. MG cites the consistently rising input costs, logistic costs, and the weakening of the Indian currency against the foreign exchange rates as the main reasons behind the new price revision.
The brand says that the maximum price hike will be up to 3 per cent. However, the specific models were not announced that will undergo up to 3 per cent correction. The brand recently introduced its latest flagship SUV, the Majestor. We believe that the Majestor is also likely to get hit by the price revision.
The new car rates will reach the showrooms and executive by late June 2026, and these will be implemented for all the deliveries and bookings taking place on and after July 1, 2026, pan-India.
