After a long wait, BMW has launched the X6 coupe SUV in India as a CBU model. The X6 M60i is the only variant that will be offered with, and it features the “M” styling kit and technical updates to give the driver a proper sports car driving feel.
Since the new X60 M60i is a full import, it has been priced steeply at Rs 1.78 crore (ex-showroom). Powering it is the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 523 bhp and 750 Nm, while paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. It can sprint 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, which makes it the most powerful SUV in the segment.
The X6 M60i features the M styling kit, including the sporty bumpers, a black grille, black mirrors, 21-inch low-profile alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and a black boot-mounted spoiler. It also features the quad exhaust tips, which give a proper V8 rumble aural experience.
The exterior design of the X6 M60i is dominated by a sloping roofline, which is the essence of the coupe crossover design. The front profile features the dual-pod LED headlights, while the rear gets the upright sporty boot with sharp LED taillights.
On the inside, the X6 M60i packs a combination of sporty design with modern features. The dashboard features the soft-touch leather, carbon fibre highlights, Alcantara leather on the door panels, and a new three-spoke M-steering wheel. The cabin theme is dominated by the black leather with red stitching and M badges on the centre console, steering wheel, seats, floor mats, and door sills.
In terms of features, it gets a dual-screen connected display that gets a 12.3-inch digital driver console and a 14.9-inch infotainment screen with wireless connectivity, wireless phone charging, panoramic sunroof, ambient lights with customisation, multi-zone climate control, ventilated front seats with memory function and electric adjustment, electric tailgate, etc.
Since it is a true M car, the X6 M60i also features adaptive air suspension, M Sport differential, M Sport brakes, and a rear-axle steering for enthusiastic driving experience. The pre-bookings of the X6 M60i are now open, and its deliveries will commence shortly.
