Skoda India has revealed the launch price of the Kodiaq RS. The sporty iteration of the three-row SUV has been priced steeply at Rs 66.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The reason behind this steep price tag is its CBU route. The Kodiaq RS is limited to 50 units in India, and all units will be private imports. Hence, the ex-showroom price is high. Moreover, all of the 50 units have already been sold out.
The Kodiaq RS is based on the standard version, but it packs a sporty bodykit, including the new bumpers, new front grille, blacked-out mirrors, and new 20-inch RS-spec alloy wheels. The cabin is loaded with black leather upholstery with an RS steering wheel, aluminium pedals, red stitching, Alcantara highlights, and red ambient lighting with a sporty user interface for the driver console.
Powering the Kodiaq RS is the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder TSI engine as the Octavia RS. However, it makes more torque and power than the Octavia RS. This engine is rated for 261 bhp and 400 Nm of power and torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. The Kodiaq RS can do 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds, and has a top speed of 231 km/h.
The deliveries of the pre-booked cars will begin shortly.
