Key highlights
- LEGO Technic has unveiled a new Ducati Desmo 450MX motorcycle kit
- Features 457 pieces and is recommended for builders aged 10 and above
- Gets working steering, suspension and a functional engine piston
Fans of Ducati and LEGO now have a new model to add to their collection. LEGO Technic has unveiled the Ducati Desmo 450MX Factory Motorcycle, a build-it-yourself model inspired by Ducati’s latest 450cc motocross bike.
The new kit joins LEGO’s growing lineup of Ducati-themed models, which already includes the much larger and more detailed Panigale V4 S.
Compact but packed with moving parts
Unlike the Panigale V4 S kit, which is aimed at experienced builders, the Desmo 450MX has been designed as a more accessible build.

Despite its simpler construction, the model includes several functional mechanical elements that mimic the real motorcycle.
Functional steering and suspension
The Ducati Desmo 450MX kit isn’t just for display.
It features:
- Working steering
- Front suspension
- Rear suspension
- Functional chain drive
- Moving single-cylinder engine piston
These features allow builders to see how different mechanical components interact, making the model both a display piece and an educational build.
Smaller than the Panigale V4 S
LEGO already offers a Ducati Panigale V4 S model, but the new Desmo 450MX is considerably simpler.
The Panigale kit includes more than three times as many pieces and even features a functional three-speed gearbox. The new motocross bike skips the transmission in favour of a quicker and more beginner-friendly build.
That also makes it significantly more affordable.
