SWITCH Mobility has expanded its electric bus portfolio with the introduction of the all-new EiV9 at Prawaas 5.0, India’s leading multimodal transport exhibition.

Designed for urban public transport, staff mobility and school bus operations, the new 9-metre electric bus focuses on lowering operating costs while improving passenger comfort and fleet efficiency. Alongside the launch, the company also unveiled its new #SwitchKaro campaign, encouraging fleet operators to adopt cleaner mobility solutions.

Built for urban transport

The EiV9 has been developed on a new-generation 9-metre electric bus platform. According to SWITCH Mobility, the bus has been designed to help fleet operators maximise efficiency while keeping running costs low.

Some of its key highlights include:

  • Lightweight architecture
  • Multiple battery pack options
  • Regenerative braking
  • Dual-gun CCS2 DC fast charging
  • Lower total cost of ownership

These features allow operators to choose battery configurations based on their route requirements while reducing downtime through faster charging.

#SwitchKaro campaign launched

Alongside the new bus, SWITCH Mobility introduced its #SwitchKaro campaign.

The initiative aims to encourage businesses, fleet operators and transport providers to transition to electric mobility by highlighting benefits such as:
