MINI has added a new convertible variant with the launch of the Convertible Stardust Edition. Priced at Rs 62.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the limited-edition convertible combines MINI’s familiar go-kart-inspired character with a more upmarket specification.
A MINI with a little more sparkle
The Stardust Edition is finished in Sparkling Copper Grey, complemented by Vibrant Silver mirror caps and 18-inch JCW Rallye Spoke alloy wheels finished in the same shade.
The convertible also gets the MINI Yours Union Jack soft-top, which can be opened or closed in just 18 seconds at speeds of up to 30kph. It also features a Sunroof Mode and Easy Load Function.
Inside, the cabin gets a Knit Dashboard in Beige/Grey, along with a 240mm circular OLED touchscreen that serves as the MINI Interaction Unit.
Performance
Power comes from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 204hp and 300Nm. The engine sends power to the front wheels through a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch automatic gearbox. MINI claims a 0-100kph time of 6.9 seconds. The claimed fuel efficiency figure stands at 16.82 kmpl.

As you’d expect from a car costing over Rs 60 lakh, the Stardust Edition isn’t exactly short on equipment.

The MINI Convertible Stardust Edition comes with Level 1 ADAS, including Front Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Attentiveness Assistant and Speed Warning.
It also gets a Reversing Assistant, ABS, Brake Assist, Dynamic Stability Control with DTC and other electronic safety systems.
