Key highlights
- New Exter Knight priced from Rs 8.13 lakh, ex-showroom
- Gets all-black interiors, brass accents and red front brake calipers
- Available with petrol, AMT and CNG powertrain options
Hyundai has launched the new Exter Knight, bringing a black-themed exterior and interior to the compact SUV. Prices start at Rs 8.13 lakh (ex-showroom) for the HX 6 Knight petrol-manual variant and go up to Rs 9.60 lakh for the top-spec HX 10 Knight petrol-AMT.
The Knight treatment is not limited to a new paint shade. Hyundai has added several black and dark-grey elements to make the Exter look more aggressive.
Black outside, brass inside
The Exter Knight gets matte-black Hyundai and Exter logos, dark-grey front and rear bumper garnishes and matching side-sill garnish. It also gets R15 black alloy wheels or dark-grey styled steel wheels, depending on the variant. The front brake calipers are finished in red, while an exclusive Knight emblem completes the exterior makeover.
The cabin follows the same theme. Hyundai has given the Exter Knight an all-black interior with brass accents, along with exclusive black semi-fabric seats. Select variants also get amber-coloured footwell lighting and a black D-cut steering wheel. It is a small SUV, but Hyundai clearly wants this version to look like it has had a late-night gym session.
Petrol and CNG options
There are no mechanical changes with the Knight edition. The Exter continues with Hyundai’s 1.2-litre, four-cylinder Kappa petrol engine. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual and Hyundai’s Smart Auto AMT. There is also a CNG option, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Knight treatment is available on four combinations: HX 6 petrol MT, HX 6 petrol AMT, HX 6 CNG MT and the HX 10 petrol AMT.
Despite the blacked-out theme, buyers aren’t restricted to a single exterior colour. The Exter Knight is available in Titanium Black, Atlas White, Starry Night, Titan Grey and Golden Bronze.
The new edition also arrives after Hyundai’s wider Knight range crossed the 1 lakh sales mark since its introduction in 2022.
