ReiseMoto has launched the MT Thunder 4 SV full-face helmet in India, expanding its range of MT Helmets products. Priced at Rs 13,699, the helmet is positioned as a versatile option for sport touring, adventure touring and everyday riding.

One of its biggest highlights is its safety certification. The Thunder 4 SV complies with the ECE 22.06 standard and also carries DOT and ISI certifications. It has additionally received a five-star rating from SHARP, the UK-based helmet safety testing programme.

Designed for touring

The helmet uses a High Impact Resistant Polymer (HIRP) shell. MT Helmets has incorporated its Air Flow Channel System (MT-AFCS) and Reduced Aero Drag Design (MT-RADD) to improve ventilation and aerodynamic stability.

The Thunder 4 SV gets MT’s Quick Visor Swap System, while the main visor is compatible with Pinlock 100% Max Vision inserts. An integrated retractable sun visor is also standard, which should be useful when riding through changing light conditions.

For longer rides, the helmet features removable and washable liners, dedicated speaker pockets and compatibility with universal intercom systems. It also gets an Emergency Release System, which allows trained responders to remove the cheek pads more safely in an emergency.

The helmet uses a micrometric double-toothed closure system. According to ReiseMoto’s specifications, the smaller shell covering XS to M weighs approximately 1,600g, while the larger shell for L to 2XL weighs around 1,700g, both with a +/-50g tolerance.

Price and availability

The MT Thunder 4 SV starts at Rs 13,699, including taxes. It is available in multiple graphics and colour options through selected ReiseMoto retail outlets and its online platform.

Final thoughts

At Rs 13,699, the Thunder 4 SV brings a strong list of safety certifications and touring-focused features to a relatively accessible price point. The combination of ECE 22.06 certification, SHARP’s five-star rating, a sun visor and intercom compatibility makes it a compelling option for riders looking for one helmet for both daily use and longer highway rides.
