Aston Martin has entered the world of road-going motorcycles with the AMB 002 Roadster, developed in partnership with British motorcycle manufacturer Brough Superior. It follows the track-only AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro, but is the first motorcycle from the collaboration designed specifically for public roads.
Design
The AMB 002 features a compact, forward-biased design with extensive use of carbon-fibre bodywork. Aston Martin’s design influence is evident in details such as the side strake, twin oval exhausts and slim rear light blades. The exhaust design takes inspiration from Aston Martin’s road cars, while the rear lighting draws cues from the brand’s hypercars.
Luxury touches include keyless operation, a backlit ignition button and hand-finished leather seat pads.
Engine and frame
Power comes from an all-new 1,083 cc, 88-degree, liquid-cooled V-twin producing 130 bhp and 110 Nm. Brough Superior says the engine has been tuned to deliver strong low- and mid-range torque while retaining a smooth top-end character.
The engine sits inside a CNC-machined titanium backbone frame weighing just 5 kg. The frame forms the structural spine of the motorcycle and contributes to its claimed 50:50 weight distribution. With carbon-fibre components and a lightweight construction, the AMB 002 weighs 190 kg.
The motorcycle also uses Brough Superior’s distinctive Fior double-wishbone front suspension. The setup separates steering and braking forces and provides anti-dive characteristics, while the rear uses a machined aluminium swingarm with progressive linkage.
Limited units
The AMB 002 Roadster will be hand-built at Brough Superior’s facility in Toulouse, France, with production restricted to just 300 motorcycles. Orders are already being accepted, while deliveries are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2027. Aston Martin and Brough Superior have not yet announced the price.
