If you love the Suzuki GSX-R1000R, then the brand has something special for you. Suzuki has introduced a limited-run special edition of its litre-class flagship sportsbike in Italy, called Stealth Edition. As its name suggests, the Stealth Edition takes inspiration from Suzuki’s Stealth Line, which adds a black paint job and sinister-looking visual updates for a distinctive appeal.
Limited to only 10 units, and that too only in Italy, the GSX-R1000R Stealth features a matte-gloss black paint job with the special ‘Stealth’ decals on the airbox. Additionally, each unit features the special numbered lettering on the fuel tank, signifying its special appeal. The bike boasts gloss black 17-inch lightweight alloy wheels and a full-system Akrapovic titanium race exhaust system for a sweet riding experience.
Suzuki has also made some other notable changes to ensure that each buyer feels special. These include a pillion seat cover, carbon fibre winglets, and a double-bubble smoked windscreen that aids the rider at higher speeds. With all these changes, the GSX-R1000R Stealth is now available for pre-bookings in Italy.
Powering the 2026 GSX-R1000R is a powerful 999.8cc inline-four-cylinder liquid-cooled high-compression engine that develops 202 bhp at 13,200 rpm and 118 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter and a slipper-assist clutch for seamless power delivery. The new GSX-R1000R is Euro 5+ compliant, and it comes with a dual-channel ABS with switchable rear ABS, traction control modes, power modes, a six-axis IMU that offers lean-sensitive ABS, cruise control, and other features.
Suzuki axed the GSX-R1000R in India a long time ago, and the brand has no commitment to bring it again anytime soon. The current litre-class category in India is led by the Kawasaki ZX-10R, which is then followed by the BMW S1000RR.
