- Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 revealed at EICMA
- Features long wheelbase, 19-inch front tyre, low-slung styling
- Global rollout planned for 2027
Harley-Davidson has unveiled the all-new Sprint 440 cruiser at the ongoing EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The Sprint 440 will be positioned as the latest entry-point model in the global market, and it features a host of changes in comparison to the X440.
The first change that gets immediately noticed is its low-slung design. The bike gets a scooped-in riding seat and a new 9-litre teardrop-shaped fuel tank. Meanwhile, the front now uses a bigger 19-inch rim with 100//90 section tyre.
Since the Sprint 440 is inspired by the original Sprint model from 1961, it is ideologically designed to cater to new riders. Hence, it has a low seat height of 671mm, which makes it easy to handle for short riders. However, Harley does provide the Reach and Tallboy options for taller riders.

Technically, it features a slightly longer wheelbase than the X440. Meanwhile, it tips at 189kg, which makes it relatively easier to ride in the city. The styling cues, like the swept-back handlebar, circular headlamp with a cap, and a new tail section, make it more aligned with the bigger Harleys like the 883 range.
The Sprint 440 gets LED lights and the circular TFT console from the X440. The console features a tachometer, MID, speedometer, and Bluetooth connectivity. Meanwhile, customers will be able to choose from three distinctive colours: Dark Billiard Grey, Vivid Black, and Teal Thunder.

The Sprint 440 features the same powertrain as the X400. Its 440cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine offers 26.7bhp and 38Nm, while paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Harley has tuned the Sprint 440 for a linear torque curve and low-speed agility, along with relaxed highway touring.
The Sprint 440 will go on sale in the US in Spring 2027. It will be manufactured in a York-based facility. However, despite Harley’s collaboration with Hero, neither of the manufacturers has announced the possibility of an Indian launch or provided details.
