- New range-topping Stealth Edition priced at Rs 1,16,250 (ex-showroom)
- Gets a 4.2-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and TPMS
- Features a distinctive black-and-bronze finish with contrasting red alloy wheels
Hero MotoCorp has introduced a new range-topping variant of the Xtreme 125R in India, called the Stealth Edition. Priced at Rs 1,16,250 (ex-showroom), it brings a few meaningful technology upgrades to the sporty 125cc motorcycle, along with a distinctive new colour scheme.
The biggest addition is a 4.2-inch colour TFT instrument console, which is exclusive to this variant. It supports Bluetooth connectivity and offers turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, along with music playback controls through a connected smartphone.
The other significant addition is a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Hero claims this is a first for the sporty 125cc motorcycle segment. The system provides real-time tyre pressure information, alerting the rider when pressure needs attention. It is a useful addition, particularly for riders who use their motorcycles for daily commuting and longer journeys.
New Stealth Edition gets distinctive styling
The Stealth Edition gets an exclusive black-and-bronze body finish, contrasted by red alloy wheels. The red detailing extends to the pillion grab rails, tank extension panels and the ‘X’ element in the Xtreme badging.
The overall design and bodywork remain unchanged. However, the new colour combination gives the motorcycle a more distinctive identity compared to the other variants.
The equipment list also includes three riding modes: Rain, Road and Sport, along with dual-channel ABS. Cruise control is also listed among the existing features of the higher-spec Xtreme 125R, although Hero’s launch announcement does not explicitly confirm its availability on the Stealth Edition.
Engine remains unchanged
There are no mechanical changes. The Xtreme 125R continues to use its 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 11.4hp and 10.5Nm of torque. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
At Rs 1.16 lakh, the Stealth Edition commands a premium over the existing dual-channel ABS variant, primarily for its new TFT console, TPMS and exclusive styling. Its key rivals continue to be the TVS Raider 125 and Honda CB125 Hornet.
