Key highlights

  • New Sport variant completes the BMW F 450 GS line-up in India
  • Gets exclusive Racing Red paintwork, Sport Suspension and Gear Shift Assistant Pro
  • Priced at Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom), with monthly instalments starting at Rs 9,999

BMW Motorrad India has expanded the F 450 GS range with the launch of the new Sport variant. Priced at Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom), it sits as an additional option in the adventure motorcycle line-up, bringing a sportier appearance and a few equipment upgrades over the standard offering.

The most noticeable change is the exclusive Racing Red paintwork, which gives the motorcycle a more distinctive look. BMW has also added a clear Rallye windscreen, black hand protectors, off-road footrests and a plastic engine guard. These additions lend the Sport variant a more purposeful adventure-bike appearance.

Sport suspension and additional riding technology

The F 450 GS Sport gets dedicated Sport Suspension, which BMW says is intended to deliver enhanced performance and riding enjoyment. It also comes equipped with Gear Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless gear changes and Riding Modes Pro, offering greater versatility across different riding conditions.

The underlying motorcycle retains the newly developed two-cylinder inline engine, which produces 48 hp and 43 Nm of torque. Its electronic rider aids include ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, Dynamic Brake Control and Engine Drag Control.

Other highlights include a 6.5-inch TFT display with a multi-controller, full-LED lighting and the distinctive X-shaped headlight that is part of the GS family design.

The Sport variant is positioned between the Exclusive and GS Trophy versions, and appears to be aimed at riders who want the additional suspension and electronic equipment without necessarily opting for the range-topping trim.

Price, finance and warranty

The BMW F 450 GS Sport is priced at Rs 5.90 lakh (ex-showroom). BMW India Financial Services is also offering monthly instalments starting at Rs 9,999, along with two integrated finance packages.

The motorcycle comes with a standard three-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty. Buyers can also opt for an extension covering the fourth and fifth years. A 24×7 roadside assistance package is included as well.
