BYD Seal battery replacement free of cost, recall effect
As reported by a media publication recently, BYD’s technicians at the service centre disclosed that the Seal electric sedan is being recalled. While the exact reason is yet unknown, BYD has initiated contacting the customers of the affected cars.
Certain units of the Seal are reported to have potential battery-related issues. This can cause battery degradation or a drop in performance. Therefore, BYD is replacing the large battery pack on the affected units free of cost.
The report also claims that only certain units are reported to be affected by this recall. Moreover, other BYD models like the Sealion 7 are not affected by this recall or any battery-related issue.
