Ducati has unveiled the 2027 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak with a new livery inspired by the company’s factory MotoGP and WorldSBK motorcycles. Designed by the Centro Stile Ducati in collaboration with Drudi Performance, the new colour scheme gives the performance-focused adventure crossover a more pronounced racing character.
What’s new, what’s not
The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak continues to sit at the sportier end of Ducati’s adventure motorcycle range. Unlike the standard Multistrada’s 19-inch front wheel, the Pikes Peak uses a 17-inch front wheel, a single-sided swingarm and lightweight forged aluminium wheels. It is equipped with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres in 120/70 front and 190/55 rear sizes.
The new livery is complemented by carbon-fibre components, a street-legal titanium Akrapovič silencer, a low smoked windscreen, gold-anodised Öhlins fork sliders and a Ducati Corse badge on the front beak.
Powertrain
The 1,158 cc V4 Granturismo engine continues to produce 170 hp and 124 Nm. Ducati’s counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from its MotoGP experience, is designed to reduce the effect of gyroscopic inertia and improve handling. The Pikes Peak also gets a dedicated Race Riding Mode, with revised rev-limiter behaviour and a more aggressive quickshifter calibration for downshifts.
Features and equipment
Suspension duties are handled by Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active electronic suspension, which uses event-based logic to adjust its response according to the riding phase. The system offers 170mm of wheel travel at both ends.
The riding position is also more performance-oriented than the standard Multistrada V4. The footpegs are positioned higher and further back, while the handlebar is lower, narrower and flatter to provide greater control and facilitate body movement during aggressive riding.
The electronics package includes front and rear radar systems, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection and Forward Collision Warning. Other equipment includes Ducati Vehicle Observer, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, Vehicle Hold Control, Ducati Quick Shift and Ducati Connect.
Ducati has confirmed that the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak 2027 will arrive in India next year. Pricing and the exact Indian specification have not been announced yet.
