Royal Enfield Continental GT 750: What do we know so far?

The prototype of the Continental GT 750 at the EICMA has a ‘work in progress’ tag on it, which shows that there is still time before it gets the final production shape. However, the prototype has an identical design to the GT650-R retro race bike.

Draped in a beautiful paint shade of red and white, the lower portion of the bike is powder-coated and has the same alloys as the current 650cc model. Meanwhile, the engine looks bigger with more fins and a differently placed clutch cable and spark plugs.

The prototype also features twin full system race exhausts. This clearly indicates that the 750cc engine will make more power and torque. Some reports hint at 55-60 bhp peak power and 65 Nm torque from this engine.

Technically, it will get minor modifications to the frame. But the prototype has serious upgrades to its hardware as it gets a twin disc brake setup at the front and fully-adjustable Showa suspension.

As of now, we know that it will be the first 750cc bike to launch by Royal Enfield. Considering that this engine is still under development, we suspect its launch taking place in India by 2026 end or early 2027.
