Hero’s long kept secret is officially out now. The brand has revealed the Xpulse 450, the latest flagship dual-sport motorcycle, which will soon be introduced in the global market.

The Xpulse 450 is powered by a new 421cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes a stupendous 46.7 bhp (@9,000rpm) and 38 Nm (@7,500rpm). However, the peak output is generated at higher RPMs. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch, and a quickshifter is likely to be offered as an option.

The Xpulse 450 is suspended by KYB USD forks (completely adjustable) and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The 43 mm USD forks offer up to 225 mm of travel, which indicates that the Xpulse 450 will be a proper off-road machine.

The bike rides on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear tubeless spoked wheel setup. Other technical details, like the rear suspension, chassis, weight, etc., are yet to be revealed officially.

Some interesting additions include a new fascia with a Dakar Rally-inspired side fairing. The display model is equipped with white paint and blue and red graphics that mimic the brand’s Dakar pedigree.

The fascia gets an LED headlamp and an adjustable windscreen. The bike also gets a massive 7-inch TFT screen that features the segment-first Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The latter will ensure easy touring in unknown places.

Lastly, Hero has not revealed any launch plans for India, but the brand will launch it in the global market next year. We believe that the Xpulse 450 will be introduced in India after the second half of 2027. It could be priced somewhere around Rs 2.80 lakh.
