Hyundai’s next big launch is a crossover that will be based on the Bayon. The latter is a popular mid-size crossover in the global market, and its Indian-spec version is expected to be launched by the festive season this year.
Ahead of the official debut, Hyundai has begun rolling out the production-ready car with camouflage guise to create a stir among buyers. This upcoming Bayon-based SUV is internally called Bc4i, and it will be positioned alongside the Creta.
The latest spy shots provide the clearest idea about its exterior design and dimensions. Although the crucial details are hidden, the crossover stance of the car is blatantly visible.
Meanwhile, it gets design cues from the new ‘Art of Steel’ design philosophy, including the sleek LED light bar at the front, wide bonnet, a squared-off front bumper with LED headlights, wide rear haunches, a big greenhouse, dual-tone alloy wheels, and sleek inverted L-shaped LED taillights with a roof-mounted spoiler at the back.
Additionally, the specific test mule boasts a unique camouflage with ‘Bring it on’ branding. We believe that Hyundai is teasing the upcoming crossover by running these test cars as a marketing initiative.
The Bc4i is expected to be longer than 4 metres, which will position it above the Venue. As seen, it will be a spacious five-seater car that will not offer an upright stance, but it will focus on interior comfort and driving pleasure.
Online reports hint that it will be powered by the same engine options as the Creta. Moreover, it will get a factory-fitted CNG engine option in the near future, which Hyundai is developing for various models like the Venue and next-gen Creta.
A few days ago, its interior design was leaked through spy shots. The production-spec model is likely to feature a dual-connected screen display similar to the Venue, a new three-spoke steering wheel with Hyundai written in Morse Code, a dual-tone cabin theme, and a wide dashboard with a spacious interior.
Hyundai will officially launch this new crossover around Diwali 2026. We suspect that it will be priced around Rs 9-18 lakh.
