The new Safety Riding Program by KTM India has been specially curated for college students and young riders who envy powerful motorcycles. The main aim of the program is to help new young riders learn riding techniques, road hazards, DIY repairs, and even includes track riding experience of the new Duke 160.
The main activity includes riding the Duke 160 on the specially crafted closed test tracks, where KTM-certified trainers and riders help new riders to learn the advanced skills that can save them from various road safety-related hazards, and also help to garner control of powerful bikes, including the special skills that enhance the capabilities of the riders.
The new ‘Academy of Safe Riding’ is a good initiative that will not only act as a good marketing strategy for the brand, but also help make roads safer by training new riders full of enthusiasm.
As far as the new Duke 160 is concerned, the brand recently introduced it as a replacement for the smaller Duke 125. It is powered by a 164.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that offers 18.74 bhp and 15.5 Nm, while paired to a 6-speed transmission. The Duke 160 is priced at Rs 1.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
