Mini has officially commenced the bookings of its upcoming most affordable Countryman model. The new Countryman C will be manufactured in India, and it is scheduled to launch in the coming weeks.

Mini Countryman C: Everything you should know
The all-new Countryman C will soon be launched in India. Its bookings are now open, and it will be manufactured at BMW’s Chennai-based plant.
Mind you, the Countryman C shares its platform with the BMW X1, hence it can be easily localised. Additionally, the localisation will make sure that it becomes the most affordable variant in its lineup.
Powering the Countryman C will be a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder, turbo petrol engine. This engine is shared with the BMW X1, and it makes 170 bhp and 280 Nm. It comes mated to a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission and it will be available with FWD only.
In terms of exterior design, it features a set of new LED headlights, a sleek grille with an oval-shaped aluminium surround running till the lower portion of the sculpted bumper. The side profile offers a crossover design with silver skid plates, dual-tone alloys, conventional door handles, and a sloping roofline.
The rear profile of the Countryman C offers a curvy boot with vertical LED taillights, a roof-mounted spoiler, and Countryman lettering on the boot.
On the inside, the new Countryman C will come equipped with brown dual-tone leather upholstery, an oval 9.4-inch OLED infotainment screen, which is a trademark of Mini, a two-spoke steering wheel, and an HUD instead of the conventional instrument cluster.
The features list will include a dual-zone climate control, electric front seats with ventilation and heating, an electric tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lights, and ADAS safety features. We suspect that the Countryman C will be priced around Rs 40-45 lakh.
