Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles has launched the new Jawa 42, completing its All Stars motorcycle range that already includes the 42 FJ and 42 Bobber. The updated 42 is positioned as the biggest evolution of the motorcycle that helped establish Jawa’s modern-classic identity in India.
What’s new?
The new Jawa 42 gets a more muscular stance, with changes to its proportions, rear section and ergonomics. The motorcycle features new side panels, alloy wheels, wider tyres and a compact upswept twin exhaust. The rear end has also been substantially redesigned, including a wider fender and a new 150/70-17 rear tyre.
The sculpted seat remains 795 mm high and retains the characteristic flat, bench-like profile, while receiving revised cushioning. The motorcycle continues with the familiar 13.2-litre fuel tank and round headlamp.
Engine and chassis
Power comes from the 294.72 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, producing 27.19 PS at 7,950 rpm and 26.3 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle uses a double-cradle frame, telescopic front forks and gas-filled twin rear shocks with adjustable preload. Braking hardware includes a 280 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The Jawa 42 weighs 175 kg and gets 173 mm of ground clearance.
Price and availability
The new Jawa 42 starts at Rs 1,79,942 (ex-showroom Delhi). The range is available in six colourways, including Black and Ivory, All Stars Ivory, Battle Green, Moss Grey and Nebula Blue.
Bookings are now open, while deliveries are scheduled to begin from September 14, 2026.
Jawa also continues to offer its Ownership Assurance Program, including a four-year/50,000-km standard warranty, extended warranty options up to six years and roadside assistance for up to eight years.
