- New Porsche 911 GT3 model launched
- Positioned between the Carrera and Turbo S variants
- Powered by a 4.0-litre flat-six naturally aspirated engine
While Porsche introduced a special ‘Touring’ 911 GT3 model in the global market, the iconic supercar manufacturer has simultaneously introduced the standard 911 GT3 in India. The new 911 GT3 is now available pan-India at Rs 3.32 crore (ex-showroom).
The speciality of the GT3 is its engine setup. It is powered by a 4.0-litre flat-six naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 503 bhp and 450 Nm. It is paired to a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, while customers can opt for a 6-speed manual transmission by paying an additional amount. The GT3 remains a rear-wheel drive supercar.
On the outside, the GT3 gets the trademark styling cues of Porsche, including the oval Matrix LED headlamps, a sloping roofline, a ducktail rear design, flared wheel arches, and a low-slung overall profile. However, distinguishing it from the rest of the variants is its big wing spoiler mounted on the boot, and its staggered 20-inch (front)/21-inch (rear) alloy wheels.
On the inside, it gets a two-seater layout, thus eliminating the rear bench. The two sports seats feature rich natural materials and Alcantara racing leather upholstery. The three-spoke steering wheel boasts a GT-specific design. Both seats are electrically adjustable.
Other interior features include a wireless phone charging pad, a curved 12.6-inch digital driver console, a 10.9-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, ADAS safety features like the adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, auto emergency braking, rear-cross traffic alert, etc.
The new 911 GT3 is available in 10 colour options. However, the Weissach Package and the Exclusive Manufaktur personalisation custom options offer endless customisation options. Buyers can even customise the seat belts, stitching colour, roof, carbon fibre shades, and more. Meanwhile, the personalisation options also include optional technical upgrades like the carbon ceramic brakes, a full race exhaust system, etc.
The pre-bookings for the new 911 GT3 has commenced in India, and the deliveries are likely to begin in the coming months.
