What to expect from the Royal Enfield Continental GT 750?

The new Continental GT 750, seen in the latest spy shots, looks identical to the current motorcycle. However, the changes are inevitably noticeable. For starters, the front fascia gets a new clip-on handlebar for a more committed riding position. The front telescopic forks seem to have partial adjustment as well.

Another big update on the front is the new, twin-disc brake setup, which we have already seen on the test mules spotted in India earlier. The test bike seen here has the Verdestien tyres and the 18-inch alloy wheels, similar to the current model.

Ironically, it does not get the classic-looking twin-pod semi-digital dials. The new instrument cluster is the TFT console seen on the other sibling models like the Himalayan and the Bear 650. The test bike also gets a similar gloss paint and chrome parts combination, which retains its neo-classic outlook. It also has a new single-seat design that is expected to provide more comfort.

Powering the new Continental GT is a 750cc parallel-twin oil-cooled engine, which is essentially a big-bore 650cc engine with improved internals and better performance. We expect this powertrain to offer around 50-55 bhp of power, and it will be paired with the 6-speed transmission. It also gets more fins for air-cooling as compared to the 650cc engine, and the fuel pump also seems to be repositioned.

Lastly, the tail section shows the new twin exhaust pipes that are slimmer than the current, bulky ones. The taillight is unaltered, but the rear sub-frame also looks redesigned for improved ride and handling. The test motorcycle also has the twin LED indicators and what appears to be a new rear sprocket that looks bigger in size.

Royal Enfield will launch the Continental GT 750 in the global market by the end of this year. It is expected to be launched in India in the first quarter of 2027 with a price tag of Rs 3.5-3.75 lakh.
