Suzuki has taken the cover off its popular family seven-seater MPV, the XL7 facelift, at the 2026 Indonesia Auto Show. The new XL7 facelift brings along cosmetic updates, fresh styling, and new features. Interestingly, it is the same as the Indian-spec XL6, with the only differentiating factor being its seven-seater layout.
Suzuki XL7 facelift: What is new?
Currently displayed at the ongoing 2026 Indonesia Auto Show, the new XL7 facelift features a revised nose design. The new model now gets a redesigned front bumper, a new front grille, vertical LED foglight housings, and a vertical black panel that runs from the black grille to the lower grille, thus giving it a refreshing appeal.
However, Suzuki has not made radical changes to the new XL7. The updated MPV continues to feature the reflector-based LED headlights, as seen on the Indian-spec XL6. Additionally, the overall profile is also unaltered, save for the new alloy wheels, a new rear bumper with a sporty lower profile, and new dual-tone colour options: Marble Black and Grayish Blue-Black.
Step inside, and the changes will feel even more limited than the exterior updates. The interior of the new XL7 facelift features a new silver trim on the dashboard and a new, bigger 9-inch infotainment screen that pops out of the centre console. The rest of the interior design and features are unaltered. Meanwhile, the infotainment gets the Arkamys sound tuning, but the number of speakers is still the same.
With that said, the XL7 facelift is merely a mid-life update that offers a decent upgrade from the outgoing model. The latter had started to feel outdated in the Indonesian market. However, we expected a lot more changes from the new facelift, as it is potentially the same as the Indian-spec XL6. Multiple online reports state that this could be the upcoming XL6 facelift, which is long overdue for launch in India.
Mechanically, the new MPV is unchanged. The 1.5-litre K15C naturally aspirated petrol engine continues to power the front-wheel drive MPV. It makes 103 bhp and 113 Nm, and it is paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the Indian-spec XL6 gets a CNG powertrain and a 5-speed manual gearbox option.
