Tata Sierra EV launch on June 30: What to expect?

The new Sierra EV will share its platform with the Harrier EV, which is the acti.ev+ platform. This platform will allow the Sierra EV to offer an all-wheel drive option on the range-topping variant, similar to what we saw on the Harrier EV.

Since it will share the platform with the Harrier EV, it will most likely feature the same battery options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. The latter is likely to get the AWD, while the rest will be offered in the FWD format.

Design-wise, the exterior will undergo a subtle reform. The front fascia, especially, will feature a closed grille design, reworked connected  LED daytime running lights, a revised front bumper with repositioned aero dams for improved airflow, and a silver garnish. Other changes on the outside will be limited to the new alloy wheels.

The cabin layout and features are also likely to be retained from the ICE Sierra. It will get the triple display and the light-themed leather upholstery. Meanwhile, the rest of the features will be similar to the range-topping ICE Sierra, including the panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, e-parking brake, HUD, ventilated front seats, and more.

We anticipate that Tata will position the Sierra EV just above the Curvv EV. Therefore, its price could range from Rs 18-25 lakh. The Sierra EV will compete with the Maruti e Vitara, Toyota Ebella, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Mahindra BE 6.
