Tesla Model Y Long Wheelbase: Everything you should know
As the nameplate hints, the Long Wheelbase iteration of the Model Y is a longer car with more interior space and more seats. The Model Y LWB, aka Model Y L, is offered with six seats internationally, with the second and third rows offered as captain seats.
The Long Wheelbase Model Y looks similar to the standard model, save for the extended side profile with a longer rear door and extended rear quarter design. Overall, it is 150 mm longer than the standard car, which frees up a lot of space inside.
On the inside, it features an identical layout as the standard Model Y, save for the bigger 16-inch infotainment screen. All the features like the touch-based controls, an optional autopilot driving system, an 18-speaker sound system, and more are offered on the Model Y Long Wheelbase.
Powering the international-spec model is the 82 kWh battery pack, which offers a claimed range of 751 km, 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and 201 km/h of top speed.
The Model Y Long Wheelbase is expected to be priced at least Rs 2-3 lakh above the standard version. More details will be revealed on April 22.
