BMW F 450 GS: Everything we know so far
The first-ever official teaser of the F 450 GS has dropped in the form of a short video. The bike is seen alongside the BMW Motorrad CEO, showing the front design and other critical details ahead of the world debut at EICMA.
The F 450 GS is a group project between BMW and TVS. Both brands have worked together to develop the all-new 450cc parallel-twin engine that offers 48 bhp and 45 Nm. This engine will not only power the ADV but also other naked and fully faired sports bikes for both brands.
Meanwhile, the production-spec F 450 GS seen here looks exactly like a baby 1300 GS. It gets the same X-pattern LED headlight as seen on the concept. In fact, it has a lot of similarities with the concept, as it gets the flat seat, golden USD forks, block-pattern tyres, tubeless cross-spoke wheels, knuckle guards, and a black windshield that we suspect is adjustable.
The F 450 GS is a critical product for BMW, as it will not only compete with the well-established rivals like the CFMoto 450, but also form the base for the Dakar Rally bike. Meanwhile, the production bike will come loaded with modern features, including the TFT console, navigation support, ride modes, six-axis IMU offering cornering ABS, wheelie control, engine brake control, and more.
The 450 GS will debut at the EICMA 2025 and it is expected to hit the global turf next year. Its Indian debut is expected to take place later next year, and the estimated price will be around Rs 4.5-5 lakh.
