The new Urban Cruiser Ebella EV is based on the Maruti e Vitara. The brand had earlier showcased its pre-production prototype at the Bharat Mobility Expo in 2025. The production-spec model is a lot similar to it.

As it is based on the Maruti e Vitara, it shares the same Heartect-E platform. Therefore, the size and majority of the design is similar to the e Vitara. However, Toyota has redesigned the front fascia with a new ‘smiling-face’ bumper, a chrome stripe and new sleek LED projector headlights.

The side and rear profile are similar to the e Vitara, save for the Toyota rebadging. Similarly, the interior design and theme is also unchanged, except for the Toyota badging.

The Urban Cruiser Ebella is loaded with all bells and whistles, including the Level 2 ADAS, a dual connected screen display, wireless charging, electric seats with ventilation, ambient lights, a JBL sound system, dual-tone leather upholstery, and more.

It also shares the battery specs with the e Vitara. Hence, it is being offered with two options: a 49 kWh (142bhp/189Nm) and a 61 kWh (172bhp/189Nm). The long-range variants gets a claimed range of 543 km on a full charge.

It is available in five monotone and four dual-tone exterior colour options. These include Cafe White, Bluish Black, Gaming Grey, Sportin Red, Enticing Silver, Land Breeze (dual-tone), Sportin Red (dual-tone), Enticing Silver (dual-tone), and Cafe White (dual-tone).

The carmaker is yet to unveil the price list of the Urban Cruiser Ebella. We suspect that it will be positioned slightly above the Maruti e Vitara. The official bookings have commenced from Rs 25,000.
