What to expect from the upcoming Nissan Tekton?
The upcoming Tekton will be based on the new CMF-B platform, which is also shared with the 2026 Renault Duster. While the new-gen Duster will launch on January 26, the Tekton will be introduced a month later in India.
The latest teaser shows a glimpse of the front and rear of the SUV. It gets a streamlined design on both ends, as it features the connected LED lights, a conventional SUV styling, and subtle body panels. The rear gets a roof-integrated spoiler and big Tekton lettering on the lower boot lid.
Meanwhile, the overall silhouette of the Tekton looks similar to the upcoming Duster. In fact, the side profile appears to be uncanny for both SUVs, save for the different alloy wheel design.
On the inside, the Tekton will feature a driver-focused cabin with a digital console, a big infotainment screen that will not be connected to the instrument cluster, and a black theme with features like ADAS, wireless charging, ambient lights, etc.
Powering the Indian-spec Tekton is most likely to be a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine, which will be paired with the manual and automatic gearbox options. The top variants are likely to get AWD option as well.
We are expecting the price of the Tekton to be in the vicinity of Rs 11-18 lakh. The main rival for the Nissan Tekton is the Hyundai Creta.
