- Renault Duster 7-seater spotted in Ladakh
- Interior design details revealed
- India launch in 2027
Renault Duster range is soon going to expand in India. The French carmaker is testing a 7-seater version of the Duster. This new model is called Boreal in the global market, and it is likely to be launched in India next year.
A test unit of the same was recently spotted in Ladakh. The spy shots have emerged online, showing that it will look identical to the global-spec Boreal SUV to a large extent.
Interestingly, this camouflaged test car’s interior was spotted as well. A glimpse of the interior shows a similar cabin design to the Duster 5-seater.
The dashboard, for example, has the same three-spoke steering wheel, a same connected display, and same AC vents, physical control buttons on the central console, and seats to the 5-seater Duster.

It is quite understood that this one will be a premium offering to the 5-seater Duster. Hence, the interior will get more premium touches like new leather upholstery, more soft-touch bits, and more advanced features like reclining rear seats, etc.
Meanwhile, the rear glass and the rear windshield are covered to hide crucial details like the space and design. The exterior design also looks quite familiar to the 5-seater Duster, save for an extended wheelbase, new bumpers, a redesigned rear quarter, and new alloy wheels.

Powering the Duster 7-seater will be the same engine options as the 5-seater Duster. It will get the 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol and the newly introduced 1.8-litre hybrid engine. However, we can not confirm whether the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be offered with it or not as it is likely to be underpowered for its size and weight.
With that said, Renault is eyeing at Hyundai Alcazar and Maruti Victoris with the 7-seater Duster. The exact launch timeline for it is yet to be revealed, but we suspect that it could launch by mid-2027.
