BMW Motorrad has unveiled the updated MY2027 S1000 RR sportsbike in the global market. The new update brings along the biggest change on the flagship superbike, which is a heavily reworked chassis frame. It also gets a new tri-colour option.
2027 BMW S1000 RR: What is new?
The updated MY27 S1000 RR now features the third-generation M-chassis frame. The engineers have reworked this frame to reduce the overall weight of the motorcycle by up to 1.27 kg. This has been achieved by reducing the wall thickness of the chassis frame by up to 30 per cent. Additionally, the frame’s design has been optimised for increased stiffness and flexibility.
The engineers did not just stop here, and they have now added a new M-Competition Blackstorm Metallic colour option to the bike, which comes with the M Sport stripes on the body panels, making it look like a proper track-mean machine. The M Sport Light White colour shade has been carried over from the previous bike as it is.
If you buy the Dynamic Package and Edition M Sport, the bike will come equipped with a USB phone charging port as standard. The updated M Package also adds new M forged alloy wheels as standard. However, if you wish to buy the M Carbon wheels, you will still need to spend an extra amount.
The updated S1000 RR also gets the new track-specific updates, which include the new M Track Package and M Track Package II. The M Track Package features the M lap trigger, Carbon Package, M Billet Package, and M Carbon wheels. However, if you choose the M Track Package II, it will carry forward all the mentioned options, but you will miss out on the M Carbon alloy wheels.
With that said, the updated MY2027 S1000 RR will soon be available in regions like Europe and the US, but we suspect that it will arrive in India either later this year or early next year.
