Key Highlights

  • MY27 Kawasaki Ninja 500 launched at Rs 5.76 lakh
  • Gets a new Lime Green colour with the 451 cc parallel-twin engine
  • Bookings are now open, with deliveries starting from the last week of August 2026

India Kawasaki Motors has launched the MY27 Ninja 500 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.76 lakh. The latest model is offered in Kawasaki’s iconic Lime Green colour and continues with the same 451 cc parallel-twin engine and SuperSport-inspired design.

The MY27 Ninja 500 is positioned as a motorcycle that balances sporty performance with everyday usability. Kawasaki says its lightweight chassis and low- to mid-range torque delivery make it suitable for city riding, weekend rides and longer journeys.

Powertrain

Power comes from a 451 cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel-twin DOHC engine. It produces 45 PS at 9,000 rpm and 42.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and an Assist & Slipper Clutch.

The Ninja 500 uses Kawasaki’s lightweight trellis frame, with a telescopic front fork and horizontal back-link rear suspension. Wheel travel stands at 120 mm at the front and 130 mm at the rear. Kawasaki says the chassis has been designed to offer agile handling while keeping the riding position comfortable for everyday use.

Features

The MY27 Ninja 500 retains the sharp Ninja family styling, including twin LED headlights and LED tail-lamps. The motorcycle also gets a TFT instrumentation panel with smartphone connectivity.

The Assist & Slipper Clutch is claimed to reduce clutch effort and minimise rear-wheel hopping during aggressive downshifts. Kawasaki has also focused on a relatively accessible riding position, with an elevated handlebar and slightly forward-set footpegs.

The MY27 Ninja 500 is available exclusively in Lime Green for now. Bookings are open across Kawasaki dealerships in India, while deliveries are scheduled to begin from the last week of August 2026.

Final Thoughts

The MY27 Ninja 500 does not reinvent Kawasaki’s middleweight sports bike. Instead, it continues with a proven formula of twin-cylinder performance, approachable ergonomics and sharp Ninja styling.
