Maruti Suzuki has lined up a host of new models for the Indian and global markets. One of these cars will be the Fronx facelift that is expected to launch in India next year. The latest spotting of the Fronx facelift test mule has surfaced online, revealing fresh details about the updated model.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx facelift: What will change?
The new spy shots of the Fronx facelift show a completely camouflaged test mule, which is likely a top-spec variant. Although we can not guess the exact details, the covered body is probably hiding the same design as the current model.
The only change on the exterior is most likely to be a new fascia with the new front grille and a redesigned bumper. We recently saw a similar update for the Baleno as well.
The test unit has all bells and whistles, including the diamond-cut alloys, UV glasses, HUD, and more. However, an interesting addition is the ADAS. While the global export model of Fronx has had ADAS since launch, the Indian spec is likely to get it with the next update.
The test car also has rear disc brakes, which will also improve the safety quotient. The rest of the car appears almost unchanged compared to the current model.
Under the bonnet, it is expected to bid farewell to the current 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and the CNG engine. These are likely to be replaced by the Baleno-sourced 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E engine. However, the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine will continue to be offered.
We expect the new Fronx facelift to launch in India by mid-2027.
