Honda CB1000F is the neo-retro bike we want in India: See details

Honda has taken the cover off its latest CB1000F neo-retro bike based on the CB1000 Hornet. The new, cool-looking naked superbike will be on offer in the global market. Read all its details below.

Honda’s latest unveil comes in the form of a neo-retro bike called CB1000F. Destined to hit the Japanese and European markets soon, this drool-worthy bike takes its inspiration from the CB1000 Hornet.

To be sold in three retro colour options (silver/blue, silver/black, red/black), the CB1000F features the 2017 Fireblade-sourced 1,000cc, inline-four engine, but with critical changes to its internal components, including the revised camshafts, and more.

This engine offers 123.7 bhp and 103 Nm while being mated to a 6-speed transmission. The company claims to have remapped the gear ratios for a relaxed power delivery. For reference, it does 100 km/h at just 4,000 rpm.

With a heavily revised chassis and geometry, the CB1000F offers a different riding posture and a single seat design that the retro bike lovers long for. In terms of hardware, it gets a fully adjustable Showa suspension and a 310mm (front)/240mm (rear) disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

While the design speaks of the 1980s, it does the modern features, including a 5-inch TFT console, ride modes, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, Honda RoadSync, LED lights, and more. Customers can also opt for the optional bi-directional quickshifter.

Honda has positioned the CB1000F at nearly Rs 8.11 lakh in Japan. It is likely to be launched in the European market soon. However, it is highly unlikely that it will be launched in India.
